A Philadelphia woman is wanted for killing her mother’s 49-year-old fiancé during a New Years Eve brawl in Montgomery County, authorities said.

Samiyah Williams, 24, shot Adronne Reaves in the Bala Cynwyd section of Lower Merion just before 10 p.m. at the Delwyn Apartments, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele said.

Reaves is engaged to Wlliams’ mother, who called her daughter and mother earlier that night to tell them Reaves “got his hands on him,” Steele said alongside the Lower Township Police Superintendent. Merion, Michael J. McGrath.

Officers responding to the Asaphs Road apartment complex found Reaves dead with a gunshot wound to the head. When the murder scene was processed, a single 9mm Luger cartridge case was found.

During the investigation, one of the Lower Merion agents who responded to the investigation was called to the parking lot of the Delwyn Apartments at around 8:30 p.m. that evening over a marital argument involving Reaves and his fiancee, Joi Furman. The two told the officer the argument was verbal and they agreed to go their separate ways for the night.

Reaves had called his daughter to come pick him up after the incident at the nearby Lord & Taylor store. They then returned to the apartment complex’s parking lot to search for her misplaced keys, where they met her fiancé, Joi Furman and her mother, Florence Furman, who had responded to the place after the marital dispute.

Lobby surveillance video shows all of the women and Reaves walking through the lobby of the building as Reaves crumbles to the floor. Seconds later, a thin person dressed in black with a dark hood leaves the hall and leaves the area.

This person was later identified as Williams, the daughter of Joi Furman. Willliams lives with his grandmother and answered with her at the apartment building after Joi Furman called them earlier, saying Reaves “got his hands on him.”

Detectives discovered that Williams owned a Walther 9mm semi-automatic handgun and had a valid license to carry a concealed firearm in Philadelphia. Williams’ build and height are the same as the person seen in the surveillance footage.

Williams is wanted for first degree murder, third degree murder and possession of an instrumentality. She has brown hair and brown eyes, is five feet tall, and weighs around 127 pounds. It should be seen as armed and dangerous.

If anyone sees Williams, do not approach him and immediately call 911. Anyone with information on Williams’ whereabouts should call Lower Merion Police at 610-649-1000 or County Detectives.
