Details of a close friend who helped Adele through the breakdown of her marriage have been uncovered

Adele’s secret friendship with the music producer who helped her regain control of her life after her marriage collapsed has been uncovered.

The 33-year-old singer was married to 47-year-old businessman Simon Konecki in 2018 after seven years of dating – before going their separate ways and finalizing their divorce last year.

Adele’s latest album, 30 – which was released last November – used the breakdown of her marriage to create heartbreaking anthems and a record of her “most personal” music to date.

It is now suggested that 37-year-old Swedish Grammy and Oscar-winning music producer Ludwig Goransson was instrumental in helping Adele rebuild her life and write her charts topping the latest album.

The Sun on Sunday reports a source whispering: “Adele started working with Ludwig around the time she was going through the end of her marriage to Simon.

“She has often said in the past that when she was going through something difficult, the studio was her safe place, and this was no exception.

“She and Ludwig developed a close friendship and they shared very intense late-night conversations about their lives and their relationships.

“He was then engaged to his current wife. [violinist Serena McKinney], so there is no suggestion that anything romantic happened between them.

The report goes on to suggest that the singer’s latest single, Oh My God, was inspired by Ludwig – while the report also points out that Adele and the producer were never friends.

Adele previously expressed her joy at working with Ludwig during an interview with The Face last year where she said, “We got on really well, and the chords and cadences he has in his bank – I I never heard anything like it.

“He’s the coolest guy. There’s something about Scandinavians that’s different. I don’t know where they fucking get their ideas from, but they’re amazing.

While Adele’s marriage to Simon – with whom she shares a nine-year-old son named Angelo – ended in 2019, she has since found love again with sports agent Rich Paul, 40.

She opened up about their blossoming romance to Vogue magazine last October, saying, “He’s awesome. He’s so funny. He’s so smart, you know.”

While she also explained how and why she initially kept their romance a secret from everyone, including her friends.

She told Rolling Stone last year: “I didn’t really tell a lot of my friends about it at first because I wanted to keep it to myself. None of them believed it!”

While in the same interview, she shared the moment she realized her divorce had been the “right” decision for her, saying, “I remember going up and sulking and going to bed. I had a lot of hope. It was the first time that I felt that I had had a very good evening and that I was well in the house and that I was going to sleep alone.
