Coachella, one of the most popular music festivals in the world is set to take place in 2022 after a hiatus of almost two years, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Coachella 2022: date and place
The Coachella Festival will take place over two weekends in April 2022 from April 15 to 24.
The Coachella Music Festival takes place at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The place which is a small town in the Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert is about a three hour drive from the city of Los Angeles.
The majority of concert goers stay in Palm Springs, which is nearby with amenities such as the airport, hotels and many more. There is also a regular camping option on this site.
Coachella 2022: Tickets and Fares
There are many options available. The most common 3-day general access ticket is available on $ 619 while a VIP ticket is available at $ 1,229.
Additional charges apply if you want shuttle services to drop you off at a local hotel or if you choose a preferred location for you and your vehicle.
Lake Eldorado combo tickets that come with a pre-pitched tent and small wooden huts for sleeping are available at $ 1645 for general access and VIP access will cost 2006 $. Lake Eldorado will be economical if you are in a group of 2-4 people.
Coachella 2022 programming
Initially, Rage Against The Machine and Travis Scott were confirmed to headline the festival in 2022. However, after the tragic incident at Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival in November 2021, he was reportedly taken off the list.
According to speculation, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Swedish House Mafia, Cardi B are also lined up for the event. There is no official confirmation yet of the full programming of the organizers.
However, in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, current President and CEO of Goldenvoice, Paul Tollett said, “Right now it’s the Wild West. I’m just trying to be as fair as possible to the artists and the fans to make sure they end up seeing everyone we’ve been talking about.
Coachella 2022: Is vaccination mandatory to attend the event?
Vaccination is not mandatory, but initially AEG promoters said dual vaccination status is mandatory for people attending their events from October 1, 2021.
Recently, they repealed this requirement and issued a statement saying, “After seeing firsthand the poor data transmission and the successful implementation of security protocols at our other festivals last month, we are confident that we can put update our health policy to allow: Negative Covid-19 test performed within 72 hours of the event OR Complete proof of vaccination.
