Alesso stuns with Eclipse taking place at Tomorrowland 2022 Weekend 2: Watch

Alesso has built a career on festival-ready anthems that have seen him perform on the biggest stages for the past decade running. Last year he debuted a new facet of his music and performances titled Eclipseand he chose to dedicate his Weekend 2 set at Tomorrowland to the darker side of his musical personality.

After initially debuting the Eclipse character in the summer of 2021 at a special performance in Los Angeles, the moniker has lain dormant, minus some teasing, during sets in Brooklyn, i.e. say until Tomorrowland. With the moniker Eclipse, Alesso seeks to delve into a deep house realm and deliver a darker take on his two classic tracks as well as showcase new music that might otherwise feel out of place with his usual house and pop anthems to which fans expect. from the Swedish producer. For this edition of Eclipse, Alesso performed from the Freedom stage, which seemed like a fitting backdrop for the mood of the music. The dark enclosure, with the glowing butterflies and massive video screen behind the DJ, created a visually stunning atmosphere that only enhanced the decor.
